Over the past couple of years my attitude towards approaching my work has evolved, in that I have begun to gravitate more towards a stream of consciousness by focusing on building a "series" of works,  instead of once-off creations (which I still do from time to time). I suppose that after 20 years of painting for a living, this is my way of staying focused with self-purpose, and not trying to be everything for everyone. This mental shift has brought back that sort of edgy nauseous anticipation you get when you release a whole new body of work. It keeps me moving forward as an artist. It keeps it real!
